  • Deadsy is the band of Elijah Blue, aka "P. Exeter Blue I," aka "Cher's kid." If you're considering buying this album, chances are you already know that Mom wasn't exactly a huge musical influence on Mr. Blue. Rather, Deadsy is a rock band which may be the culmination of nu-metal's love affair with new wave/5().

  • Deadsy's "Commencement" album is a definitive classic. This album is one of my favorite modern rock album's of all time. Deadsy is an extremely underrated band. Led by lead vocalist Elijah Blue Allman (P. Exeter Blue I), son of Greg Allman & Cher. His voice is one of the most distinctive I have ever heard. Deadsy is an Undercore/Industrial band.

  • It's another time-warp trip back to the heyday of synth pop, as Deadsy returns with another fusion of dour monotone vocals and heavy-tread drums sandwiched between buzzsaw bass and spectral, high-register keyboards. A guest shot by Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis on "The Key to Gramercy Park" reminds listeners of the band's currency, but it's easy to mistake Commencement for an '80s artifact.
  • Deadsy is kind of like its cousin Orgy. Lots and lots of metal and synths. I personally like the synth-heavy tracks on this CD, although some of the other tracks are worth listening to. One interesting thing about Deadsy is that the lyrics are sometimes cryptic, pretentious, or just confusing. They cite history, philosophy, and obscure pop culture.
